Mrs. Michelle Fischer serves as the Geospatial Coordinator for the RESTORE Council (Council), comprised of the five Gulf states and six federal agencies.  As a Geographer with the U.S. Geological Survey, Wetland and Aquatic Research Center,  she has provided geospatial leadership to several large scale restoration efforts in coastal Louisiana including the Coastal Wetlands Planning, Protection and Restoration Act (CWPPRA), the Louisiana Coastal Area (LCA), Southwest Coastal Louisiana Feasibility Study, and many mitigation projects.  With over a decade of geospatial experience supporting multi-agency teams, her leadership will help ensure the Council leverages the many geospatial datasets to help inform the restoration decision process.
